We are Recruiting – NOW CLOSED Would you like to work for a small, independent team, at the forefront of outdoor skills training and retail provision. NOW CLOSED Working with woodland ways, you do not work FOR us, you ARE us. Can you think for yourself, work as part of a truly dedicated team, and work in isolation when required. Are you ready to help push our business to be the market leader in the retail of bushcraft equipment, both online and in store. We need you to take responsibility for the ongoing retail and customer service operations within our retail outlet based in Rowsley. NOW CLOSED Our outlet is not busy… but the few people that do arrive deserve the very best of care and your full attention. Would you enjoy making a cup of tea and talking to that customer about our stock for an hour or more sitting at our log burning stove. We’re not interested in selling lots of stuff quick, we are interesting in selling the right equipment to the right person. Are you happy to talk in depth about our courses over the telephone. Following training and working with the Operations Manager the post holder will deliver consistently high standards of sales advice relating to outdoor equipment, course provision, overseas expeditions and any other service delivered by Woodland Ways Bushcraft & Survival. Such activities will include, but are not exclusive to, serving customers within the shop, telephone enquiries, merchandising, managing cash systems and operation of the till. NOW CLOSED The post holder will also assist in the upkeep and condition of all stock, equipment and craft displays. The core operating hours of The World of Bushcraft Centre offices are 09:30-16:30, you will work Tuesday to Saturday. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will work during these core hours with 15 minutes allowed either side of the day to open and close. NOW CLOSED Salary is negotiable between £16,500 and £18,500- if you feel you deserve more, then demonstrate to us why. Although this is not a teaching/instructing role Woodland Ways would commit to providing free training and access to opportunities within our business services to the right candidates, this includes free access to all our courses.
