Nyala, Klipspringer, Duiker, Steenbok, Dikop If that’s all Afrikaans to you you’d be correct. These are some of the birds and beasts that we will be tracking and hopefully observing on our upcoming South African Game Ranger Experience and Cyber Tracking course, along with more well known African fauna such as White Rhino, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Leopard, Impala, Wildebeest etc. In fact the list could go on and on. For many people Africa get’s under your skin and being on foot in the African bush is a truly unique and awesome experience especially when you get up close and personal to it’s amazing wildlife. The course is run partly in the Limpopo low-veld at the base of the Drakensberg escarpment and partly in the Kruger National Park. Our guide is one of the country’s top Game Rangers and he will allow us to enter his world for a short period of time and see the bush through his eyes. The first seven days will familiarize you to the plants, birds, trees, insects, reptiles, amphibians as well as the larger mammals of South Africa and then in the second week you will start to focus in on the minutia…….the tracks and sign. You will come away with your not just your eyes but all your senses well and truly opened but also with a holistic and realistic understanding of Africa. We also visit an animal rehabilitation centre where you will get to be able to have direct contact with some of the rescued wildlife, an unforgettable experience. For more information on the trip go to the expedition page on our website here They say a picture speaks a thousand words, so rather than continue below is just a teaser of what you might see.
