Social Spoon Club- Every Wednesday evening at “The Barn” (aka The World of Bushcraft Centre- Rowsley) STARTING WEDNESDAY 8TH NOVEMBER The team at Woodland Ways have decided to start an informal social club for anyone to join. The aim being to offer some casual evening company for people interested in carving spoons or other small projects, where we can share inspiration and experiences. Join us for creative spoon carving and good conversation Come and create with us in our Rowsley based shop “The Barn” every Wednesday evening from 5pm – 8pm (you can turn up anytime during this time, even if its just for a cuppa and a chat for 30 mins… though if you turn up at 19:45 you are not going to carve much). We’ll be carving spoons with plenty of brews and conversation. If you have your own tools, great, bring them with you, but if not, don’t worry, we have kit we can lend to you. Enjoy our cosy log burner as you carve It’s free to join, and you don’t need to be a wood wizard, but we’d appreciate a couple of quid towards electricity for the kettle and keeping the tools in good order. We’ll be able to provide some woods to use, but you’re free to bring your own if you’ve got something interesting! It’s also worth bringing biscuits and plasters! We have a microwave/oven and log burning fire if you wished to bring your dinner too. One of our team will be present on most evenings, and failing this we will have someone in the group to unlock and lock. So come and join us round the stove this winter and enjoy some chat, carving and skills sharing. The address is Woodland Ways, Holly House Barn, Bakewell Road, Rowsley. DE4 2EB, as you reach the change in speed sign turn up the track, just go round the back of the cottages and then park up outside our barn (please turn right and park on or near the concrete as the other spaces we reserve for our neighbours) Come and be inspired with the examples in our display Woodland Ways
